Meyer Lemon Tart

Ingredients

Tart crust

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp almond extract

Meyer lemon filling

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 egg yolks
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup (4 ounces) meyer lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest

Candied lemon garnish

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 10 thin slices of lemon
